In 2005, Midori made a striking debut on Avangarde with their first mini-album “First.” In April 2007, they released their second album “Second,” which fused intensely emotional yet pop-inspired lyrics with a swinging, punk-influenced sound. Vocalist Mariko Gotō, dressed in a sailor uniform while fiercely playing her guitar, became the center of attention.

During the summer of 2007, the band performed at numerous festivals, stunning audiences with their overwhelming live performances, and their reputation quickly spread nationwide. Later that autumn, they released the mini-album “Shimizu,” whose outstanding musical quality captivated fans and continues to enjoy long-term sales.

In March, Midori also participated in the much-talked-about “Detroit Metal City Tribute Album ~Ikenie Metal MIX~,” boldly remixing “Romantic Natsu Mode” into a heavy metal arrangement.

Now, after about a year, the highly anticipated full-length album from the sensational band Midori is finally here! Known for their striking and provocative cover art, this album will feature a newly drawn jacket illustration by manga artist Naoki Yamamoto, with whom the band has long maintained a creative connection.
