She has released seven original albums to date. Traveling the world with her classical guitar and voice, Ichiko Aoba has been acclaimed worldwide. Her album "Windswept Adan", described as a "soundtrack for an imaginary film," was selected as the No. 1 album of the year 2020 on Rate Your Music, the largest music archive in the United States. Since 2021, she has been actively performing overseas, appearing at international festivals such as Reeperbahn Festival, Pitchfork Music Festival, and the Montreal International Jazz Festival.

In June 2024, she released a French-language cover of her 2020 song "Seabed Eden" in collaboration with French musician Pomme. In addition to her musical career, she serves as the DJ for FM Kyoto’s "FLAG RADIO" on odd-month Wednesdays, writes a serialized column for the literary magazine Gunzo, and is involved in a wide range of creative activities including TV narration, composing music for commercials and films, and performing at art festivals.
