Released on November 8, 2000, 3 is the third album by Kirinji, coming 1 year and 4 months after their previous release. It became the best-selling album in the band's history. The album includes all four singles: “Arcadia,” “Good Day Goodbye,” “Kimi no Mune ni Dakaretai,” and “Aliens.”
Among them, “Aliens,” released as the album's lead single, received extensive airplay, especially on FM radio stations nationwide, helping to boost the album’s strong sales. As one of Kirinji’s signature songs, it has become a true J-POP standard—later used in commercials and still frequently covered by many artists today.
The previous vinyl version included the bonus track “Aliens (Instrumental),” which had been featured in the remastered paper-sleeve CD released in 2014. However, this new vinyl release additionally includes two more bonus tracks: “Arcadia (Single Version)” and “Shurrasco” (originally only included on the “Kimi no Mune ni Dakaretai” single).
